Acts is proud and privileged to assist in the Solomon Islands initiative through our partners who through their investment of time and expertise helped give birth to a local company called The Islands’ Own.
 

The aim is to start the productions of locally sourced and locally produced premium VCO. To date, the centre has been employing close to 26 locals to work, train and be involved in a national social business initiative. Our goal is to eventually scale up the productions and create many more job and earning opportunities to help improve the locals’ living standards.  

In January 2019, we reached a significant milestone where we welcomed the honorable Prime Minister Rick Houenipwela to visit the production centre. The Prime Minister and his chosen cabinets were briefed through the entire production process and also the Islands’ Own Outgrowers’ Program that is designed to support rural development and agricultural advancement.

On 18 January 2019, Village Store House (VSH) collaborated with Hospital Orang Asli Gombak and supplied eight boxes of children’s clothes. Fifty children, aged from newborn babies to 12 year-olds, were blessed with mint-conditioned attires. These children are mostly from Semai, Batek and Jahai tribes. Thank you for your generous donation to VSH!

Close to 250 leaders of Acts gathered for our annual ALDO and had an empowering time of coaching, learning and fellowship!

A team of close to 30 partners sowed into East Malaysia by bringing FairStival Tour to Kota Kinabalu (25-27 January)! 17 workshops were run and God’s presence was so tangible at the night rallies. Thank you for praying with us! 

Acts Worship Orchestra had an open day on 27 January and launched the music academy offering professional classes on violin, flute, cello, and many more!
