Since the year 2010, the Lord has been leading our church to grow small to grow big, to build a movement and not just monuments, and to be faithful in the calling that God has given us to plant churches and raise pioneers… Now this call is getting clearer, and we believe that God is guiding us to grow even smaller by raising (and releasing) pioneers to plant small groups – on every street and in every school – just like the ants.
Why ants?
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard!
Consider her ways and be wise,
Which, having no captain,
Overseer or ruler,
Provides her supplies in the summer,
And gathers her food in the harvest.
Because ants can be found everywhere, from the most desolate of places to the richest of households, ants work together as a colony. Likewise, we heed the words in Proverbs 6:6-8 by learning from the ants, and working towards filling the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
So, what does a small group do?
