Acts e-Newsletter (September 2024 Issue): Investing into youths for a brighter Malaysia!

Did you know that Acts is closely affiliated to a nation-building youth development organisation, called Asian Youth Ambassadors (AYA)?

AYA is a not-for-profit organisation birthed in year 1995 with the primary purpose of “inviting, inspiring, instructing, and involving young people to dare to dream and be responsible in fulfilling those dreams for the good of all.”

AYA is passionate and committed to building Malaysia through investing into youths.

Let’s look at a few initiatives…

This Awards – a.k.a the “Durian Awards” – was an annual Awards event from 2005 to 2010, to recognise and highlight the stories of Malaysian youths who possess an outstanding spirit, as well as youth-friendly companies who help youth fulfill their dreams.

This is a youth development programme that familiarises (prepares) young people for new surroundings, opportunities and purpose.

This year, AYA pioneered a new segment at our school, Victory Academy (VA) – called “Creatives Day”, where the coaches brought the students through a series of value-adding sessions every week – drama, dance and movement, music, video production, graphic design, etc! It culminated with a history-making VA Production “Malaysia Ada Bakat” held at University of Malaya (UM) on 17 August!
